International Youth day celebrated at Aditya Degree College, Kakinada. Giving this information, the Academic Coordinator of Aditya Degree and PG Colleges, Shri BEVL Naidu said that a seminar was conducted on the eve of International Youth Day.
National Service Scheme units of Aditya Degree College observed International Youth Day. The Chairman of NSS units and the Academic Coordinator Shri BEVL Naidu presided over the seminar and the Chief guest for the seminar is NSS district Programme officer Shri Krishna rao.
In his opening remarks the president of the function, Shri Naidu opined that youth are the backbone for any country and present youth should work hard to spread the greatness of India across the world.
The Chief guest of the function Shri P. Krishnarao gave the details of the initiation of the International Youth Day and he informed that during 1999 the United Nations Organization declared to celebrate 12th of August of every year needs to be celebrate this day. From 2000 year onwards the celebrations related to this day are being celebrated. UNO gave a call to the world saying that in order to solve youth problems the International Youth Day needs to be celebrated. He also gave the exemplary work of Mahatma Gandhi which is the reason for initiating NSS which is inspiring the youth. He also gave the inspirational work of Shri Swami Vivekananda, Shri Gautama Buddha and gave call to get inspired by their works and books.
The Vice Principal of Aditya Degree College, Dr. Maniprakash Aravelli, the NSS units programme officers, Shri T. Tejeswara Rao and Shri L. Divakara Rao and the NSS student volunteers YVS Krishna, Satish, Pavan, Ajay, Surya, Manikanta and Sanjay participated in the programme.
